Diesel Power
Feeling refreshed after a rest day i have come to Wales for a couple of days but before my traditional beasting in the cave i decided to go and see if Diesel Power in the pass was dry. A quick txt to my dad and Graham Desroy revealed conditions were windy and wet to very wet. As i arrived at the Llandudno junction it still wasn't raining so i pushed on to the pass. To my surprise it was dry and it wasnt raining, after about 20 mins the wind and the rain came, the lip turned into a waterfall but i pushed on, after another 25 minutes i topped out on a stern but quality 8a in the middle of a mega storm. Awesome experience and i think my power screams would have been heard in Llanberis. The only decent thing to do now was to sample a quality coffee at V12 and courtesy of Rob i also now sport an excellent new V12 hoodie.
Feeling suitably refreshed i left to the cave to have a torrid hour falling off the last move of "Hell", a long way to climb to drop the last move!!! Anyway there is always tomorrow................
Finally Chris Graham of the Northumberland Bouldering website has put a video of my ascent of Directors Cut on my site. Just go to VIDEO and click on the link.
